Planetariums have traditionally relied on a hemispherical dome above the audience to project stars and other educational material to teach students and the public about the Universe. With the development of increasingly powerful computers and projection technology it is now become possible to move away from just space and project anything imaginable on the dome. The sky is no longer the limit, and at Fiske we believe that truly beautiful, inspiring, and innovative content can be created by both amateurs and professionals, to be experienced in this unique environment.

As such, Fiske Planetarium is proud the announce the first Fiske Fulldome Film Festival, conveniently and centrally located in Boulder, Colorado, only 45 minutes away from Denver International Airport. With the largest dome between Chicago and Los Angeles, and our state-of-the-art SkySkan 8K projection system, we are able to fully accommodate a wide variety of content, in one of the most compelling visual environments you’ve ever seen.
